UTM-1 Adopted for Security Infrastructure of a New Application Services Business

Based in Japan, Sooki Co. Ltd. provides automated surveying and measuring equipment in fields where reliability is business critical. In order to secure applications used by customers as well as its own internal IT infrastructure, Sooki installed UTM-1, Check Point's unified threat management (UTM) appliance in its data center, thus providing core security deterrents including firewall, antivirus, anti-spyware protection, SSL VPN and intrusion prevention. Additionally, Sooki installed the small-scale UTM appliance Safe@Office, which provides point-to-point network security.
