Vulnerability Description
A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in the way that Microsoft Windows Backup Manager handles the loading of DLL files. The Windows Backup Manager (sdclt.exe) allows users to restore a computer's system files to an earlier point in time. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on a target system.

Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is caused when the Windows Backup Manager incorrectly restricts the path used for loading external libraries. A remote attacker could convince a user to open a legitimate Windows Backup Catalog file (.wbcat) that is located in the same network directory as a specially crafted DLL file. Then, while opening the .wbcat file, Windows Backup Manager could attempt to load the DLL file and execute any code it contained. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to take complete control of an affected system.

Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block the transferring of suspicious DLL files over CIFS.
