Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to insufficient verification of segment data by the Adobe Flash Player. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to download and view a malicious Flash file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. |
Protection Overview
This protection will detect and block malformed Adobe Flash files that contain ActionScript.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
