Vulnerability Details The vulnerability is due to a flaw in the Discovery Service component of the affected products. The service fails to properly handle malformed packets. An attacker could exploit this issue to take complete control of a vulnerable system via a maliciously crafted packet sent to the BrightStor backup Discovery Service. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to create denial of service (cause the service to crash) condition or execute arbitrary code on an affected system. |
