Vulnerability Details
The vulnerability is due to the manner in which WINS calculates a buffer length when processing specially crafted WINS network packets. An attacker can trigger this issue by sending a specially crafted network packet to an affected WINS server. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the vulnerable system.
