Check Point Software Technologies Announces Certification Training for FireWall-1
Redwood City, CA —
Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the market leader in network security software and inventor of Stateful Inspection, today announced the Check Point Software certification training program for Check PointTM FireWall-1TM . The program establishes a worldwide network of Authorized Training Centers (ATCs) to facilitate security engineer certification for FireWall-1. FireWall-1 certification training enables end-users and resellers to maximize their investment in Check Point FireWall-1 products by improving their efficiency and performance, and preventing costly downtime.
Under the certification program, Check Point ATCs will train Certified Check Point Security Engineers (CCSEs). In addition, Check Point Software Technologies will train Certified Check Point Security Instructors (CCSI) for qualified ATCs. CCSE certification is available to resellers and end-users. Those receiving this certification will be officially recognized as FireWall-1 security engineers. CCSI certification authorizes the instructor of a qualified ATC to deliver CCSE training.
Check Point Software Technologies has been working with Netrex, Inc., a Detroit, Michigan-based Internet security company to pilot the Check Point ATC program. Since the pilot began, Netrex has certified over 150 CCSEs. "This program has already been a phenomenal success," said Mark Sims, President and CEO of Netrex, Inc.
