Check Point Software Named Number One Worldwide Market Share Leader in New IDC Report

IDC reports Check Point Software leading industry growth in network security

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., – August 25, 1999 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), today announced that a new International Data Corp. (IDC) report validates the company's worldwide leadership in the firewall market with the number one market share position in the new "Internet Security Software: 1999 Worldwide Market and Trends" study. In addition to Check Point Software's success in the firewall market, the IDC report notes that Check Point Software has "expanded into virtual private networks (VPNs) and bandwidth management."
