Check Point Software to Bring Comprehensive Internet Security to Intel Itanium™ Processor-Based Platforms

Secure Virtual Network (SVN) Architecture to Support Intel's 64-Bit Itanium Processor

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb. 22, 2000 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that it is working with Intel Corporation to scale its Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture to a full 64-bit implementation that supports the Intel Itanium processor. Computers using the powerful Itanium processor will take full advantage of Check Point's solutions for comprehensive Internet security. Check Point's SVN architecture uniquely provides secure and seamless Internet connectivity between individual networks, systems, applications and users.
