Check Point VPN-1 Named Network Magazine's VPN Product of the Year

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Apr. 19, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that its market-leading VPN-1™ software solution has been selected as "Product of the Year" by Network Magazine in the Virtual Private Network (VPN) category.

The awards, presented annually, designate the products that are most significant to Network Magazine's readers as determined by editor consensus. Winners were selected based on competitive enhancements that the product offers; price/performance advantages; technical ingenuity; new features and applications; and serviceability to the market.
