Check Point Extends Remote Access and Branch Office VPNs with Expanded SmartCenter/Safe@ Management Capabilities

Enables Easy, Cost-effective Security Deployment

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 25, 2002 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced a new set of management capabilities for integrating its Safe@ product family with SmartCenter, the company's core enterprise management solution. This enables enterprise customers to quickly and easily deploy cost-effective Safe@ security to remote employees and branch office sites and manage it through a single management infrastructure.

Developed by SofaWare, a Check Point company, and based on Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall® technology, the Safe@ product family enables maximum security at a very low price point. The software solutions are delivered as fully integrated VPN/firewall appliances from Check Point and partners Nokia (NYSE:NOK), Celestix, Intrusion Inc. (Nasdaq:INTZ), VPN Dynamics and SofaWare and start as low at $299. SmartCenter management of the Safe@ product family includes:

  • 'Pull' technology - for automatic provisioning of new and updated security policies
  • SmartMap™ - for a comprehensive, graphical depiction of all objects in a security deployment
  • SmartView Tracker™ - for centralized logging and auditing of all Check Point security solutions
