Media Alert: Check Point Provides ZoneAlarm Customers Solution for Loss of Internet Access Which May Occur After Installation of Microsoft Update KB951748

Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, is today providing ZoneAlarm customers with a solution to address the loss of Internet access which may occur after the installation of Microsoft Update KB951748.

In a posted Security Advisory, Check Point informed ZoneAlarm users of several options for restoring connectivity to the Internet.  The options include: a) temporarily uninstalling yesterday's hotfix KB951748 issued by Microsoft, which caused the loss of Internet access or b) setting firewall security to "medium."  Later today, Check Point will be issuing a ZoneAlarm update that provides a permanent solution to users.
