Overview

Check Point Accelerated Data Path (ADP) service modules for IP Appliances are a hardware option that can be quickly inserted into Check Point IP Appliances to improve traffic performance and extend appliance utilization. ADP service modules accelerate SecureXL traffic, improving small packet performance, VPN, IMIX (which is a blend of traffic types and sizes representing more real world scenario) and reduce latency. With ADP the Check Point IP appliances deliver high performance for a broad range of traffic types.

An ADP provides investment protection for your IP Appliances.  It offers users of these appliances an easy upgrade alternative to achieve higher performance without having to replace the appliance.

The ADP module accelerates traffic that is being accelerated by Check Point SecureXL by off-loading the acceleration into hardware. It offers the equivalent of another processor. This “appliance within appliance” architecture frees up resources on the appliance CPU(s) that can be utilized on non-accelerated (slow path) traffic and deep-packet inspection.

Interface Options
ADP services modules can support both single mode and multi-mode fiber. This offers complete flexibility to populate the module with a combination of connectivity or with the convenience to obtain a module that is fully populated with short-range fiber connections or built-in copper.
